Privacy Policy — Doom Me, Not Scroll
Last updated: 2026-06-03
Doom Me ("the app") is built to be local-first. Your data stays on your device: there is no backend, no account, no ads, and no analytics. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do.
What the app accesses
- App usage time (Usage Access). With your permission, the app reads how long you spend in the apps you choose to track. It reads time only — never the content of what you view, type, or watch.
- Installed app list. To let you choose which apps to track, the app lists the apps that have a launcher icon.
- Notifications. The app posts notifications (its core function).
What we collect and where it goes
Nothing leaves your device. The app has no backend, no account, no ads, and no analytics SDK. All of the following is stored only in the app's private on-device storage:
- which apps you track and your per-app limits,
- daily usage totals and streaks,
- the messages the app has shown you,
- your settings (chosen persona, language, opt-ins, quiet hours).
We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There is no server to send it to. Free users see an in-app prompt to buy the lifetime upgrade — that's our own UI, not an ad network, and it sends nothing off the device.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android Settings, permanently deletes all of the above.

A note on tone
The app can deliver intentionally blunt, "roast"-style messages — but only the friendly tone is on by default. Harsher personas live behind an explicit Intense mode opt-in and can be turned off at any time. The messages are about your scrolling habit, never about you as a person.
